Arranging to start service in a home or business

Owners: Call BSU at (239) 992-0711 five business days prior to closing on the property. Please provide identification, member application, W-9 form, proof of ownership, and the date of the transfer. The deposit may be waived with auto-pay or letter of credit from another utility. There is a nonrefundable transfer fee.

Renters: Renters are required to visit our office at 11900 E. Terry St. Please provide identification, member application, W-9 form, copy of a fully executed, signed lease, and a deposit plus a nonrefundable transfer fee.

Businesses: Call BSU at (239) 992-0711 five business days prior to closing on the property. Please provide identification, member application, W-9 form, articles of incorporation, business license, the date of the closing on the property, and a deposit plus a nonrefundable transfer fee.

Information needed if you sell property or move

Please contact BSU five business days before the property closing or the move. Please have your realtor or closing agent fax the following information to us at (239) 947-7460:

  • The closing or moving date
  • Your name, phone number and the mailing address for the final bill
  • a complete estoppel form that can be downloaded HERE
  • The name and phone number of the new owners/tenants
